About 299 other cyclists and I got special permission to ride our bikes around inside the Port of Long Beach. It was amazing. Here's the photos and here's a quick post with more info.
Thursday

10:00pm finish up 18 mile bike ride in Little Tokyo
10:15pm Get call from Xeni, it's on.
11:30pm Arrive home, prepare to be AFK for the follwing day.
Friday
2:30am Decide I'm done for the day and go to sleep.
4:00am wake up, shower, eat breakfast, deal with e-mail, nothing outstanding when I close my laptop.
5:30am Picked up by Xeni, drive to San Diego
8:00am Coffee
9:00am Arrive SD Air & Space museum. sign in, release forms, introductions
10:00am Mission briefing, FAA requirements
11:00am Food, Coffee, Flight suit fitting, name tag is put on suit upside down
12:00pm Bus to airport, private TSA screening
12:30am Leave from San Diego towards ocean and section of airspace blocked off for us by FAA
1:00pm Complete 17 parabolas in microgravity, film the entire thing
2:00pm Arrive back at airport, Craig R. Barrett turns my name tag
right side up and welcomes me to the small world of people who have
experience zero gravity.
3:00pm Re-Gravitation back at Museum
4:00pm Distracted by side conversation about nanotech and aerogel
5:00pm Drive back to LA
8:00pm Realize SRL is starting in San Jose, txt message friends who might be in attendance, hear back from none of them.
9:00pm Arrive home, bid Xeni farewell, run up stairs change clothes, load bike into Michael's car which is waiting.
9:30pm Meet the IAAL/MAF in a undisclosed parking lot and bike to the Midnight Ridazz starting point.
10:00pm Midnight Ridazz leaves from Griffith park, heads through downtown and back to mid Wilshire
Saturday
12:15am Having finished the route, we head back to Silver Lake
12:45am Decide on late night food at the Astro, final odometer count is 20.08 Miles
1:30am Get home, crash out instantly.
11:25am Check e-mail for first time since previous day, just shy of 1000 unread messages in my inbox, post junk filter.
